After the galleries close, the Grand Hall of the Grand Egyptian Museum becomes a stage. Eternal Sun is a 35-minute show of projection mapping, lasers, light and music that tells 5,000 years of Egyptian civilisation around the 11-metre granite statue of Ramesses II. It opened on 1 November 2026 for the museum’s first anniversary and runs until 30 April 2027. We pick you up from your hotel, hand you your ticket and drive you back after the show.

The show runs most evenings but not on Wednesdays or Saturdays. Seats can sell out, so send us your date early and we will confirm it before you pay.

Good to Know

Children under 6 are not allowed in, and guests under 15 must be with an adult. Bring an ID or passport for adult tickets. The show uses lasers, loud music and flashing light, so it is not suitable for anyone with epilepsy or sensitivity to flashing lights. Photos and video are allowed on phones only, with no flash, tripods or selfie sticks. Tickets cannot be refunded or moved to another date or person once booked. Bags bigger than 40 × 40 cm go to the cloakroom.
