Gabr El-Bint has no road: boat or a two-hour camel ride are the only ways in, so the reef gets a fraction of the traffic and the coral wall is in far better shape. The boat also gives you shade, a lunch and somewhere to sit between swims, which the Blue Hole does not.

Yes, and plenty of guests do. Dahab is about an hour and a half by road from Sharm along the coast, so the 9am morning departure means an early pickup — roughly 7am from your Sharm hotel. The sunset trip is the easier one to pair with a Sharm base because it leaves in the afternoon.
