Gabr El-Bint by boat, a semi-submarine reef tour, and a sunset sailing option — the quiet side of Sinai, on the water.
Gabr El-Bint is the bay south of Dahab you cannot drive to — reachable only by boat or a long camel ride, which is exactly why its reef is in the condition it is. Two snorkeling stops, a hot open buffet lunch on board and sunbeds on the bow for the sail back.
The same boat and the same reef stops, sailed in the afternoon so you finish as the sun drops behind the Sinai mountains and the water turns copper. Cooler on deck than the morning run, quieter on the reef, and the cheapest way onto the water in Dahab.
Departs Marina El-Mastahat next to the public beach, twice daily at 1pm and 3pm. An air-conditioned cabin four metres below the surface with a long panoramic window onto the reef — no mask, no swimming, and nobody gets wet.
